Xiaomi Mi A1 Price in India Permanently Slashed By Rs. 1,000

The Mi A1 Android smartphone has been given a permanent Rs. 1,000 price cut by Xiaomi, roughly three months after it was launched in the country. This brings the Xiaomi Mi A1 price in India down to Rs. 13,999, applicable on both Mi.com and Flipkart.

 The Mi A1 price cut was announced Xiaomi India Managing Director Manu Kumar Jain on Sunday via a tweet, saying "Great news Mi Fans: announcing a permanent price drop of Rs. 1,000 on Mi A1! [sic]". This price drop helps Xiaomi position its portfolio better against the likes of Honor 7X, Nokia 6, and Moto G5S Plus in the sub-Rs. 15,000 segment, at least until the Redmi 5 Plus hits the Indian market.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 is available via Mi.com and Flipkart only, in three colour options. At the time of writing, Flipkart has listed the Mi A1 in Gold and Black colour options, while its Rose Gold colour variant is not available. Similarly, the Rose Gold option is out of stock on Mi.com, while the other two are up for purchase.
Customers purchasing the Xiaomi Mi A1 via Flipkart can avail an additional five percent discount using Axis Bank Buzz credit card. The online marketplace is also offering no-cost EMI option to purchase the smartphone with monthly installment as Rs. 1,556. Also, there is buyback guarantee at Rs. 99 to give customers a guaranteed value on exchanging the smartphone for a new purchase on Flipkart at a later date. On Mi.com, buyers will get up to 200GB of additional Airtel 4G data with the handset, and MobiKwik SuperCash up to Rs. 3,000, along with Mi Protect accidental and liquid damage protection for a year at Rs. 899.
